Sun meet the Sea

Mercede Zehtaban — Thu, 01 Oct 2026 19:30:24 +0000

What I had in mind for this painting was the feeling of summer—the moments when sunlight touches the surface of the sea, the color of the water shifts between blue and green, and everything creates this strange sense of peace and freedom.

The blues and turquoise remind me of the sea, while the yellows bring to mind the warmth of sunlight on the skin and those golden moments at sunset.

I didn’t want these colors to simply exist next to each other. I wanted them to move together, as if the sea and the sun were dancing with one another.

A calm, atmospheric urban scene where a golden moon rises above an abstract skyline. Rich blues and warm reds blend softly, creating a peaceful yet powerful mood. Moon Over Silence captures the quiet dialogue between the urban skyline and the rising moon.

This painting invites the viewer into a dreamlike space — a place where silence becomes visible, and the ordinary transforms into the poetic.

Golden Ocean

I wanted to capture the ocean’s enchanting allure at sunset, inspired by my journey to Sorrento. The waves danced with the sky’s ethereal hues as twilight unfolded. The sun, a radiant orb, dipped towards the horizon, casting a luminous glow across the tranquil sea. Its light shimmered, creating a mesmerising tapestry of colours that mirrored my vibrant recollections. Each wave whispered secrets, inviting me to lose myself in its serene embrace.

Orgasm

I wanted to imagine a peak sensation of intense pleasure experienced in sex, to express the moment when orgasm happens—the unique energy that rises in your head, lifts you up, and releases you! You cannot describe the feelings of orgasm with words; I wanted to capture it with colours and movement!

Childhood memories

Mercede Zehtaban — Fri, 15 Aug 2025 11:05:39 +0000

Childhood Memories is inspired by my own days as a child, playing in my grandparents’ garden. I remember the joy of running in the grass with my brother, feeling the earth under my hands, and picking flowers in all their simple beauty.

In this painting, I filled the canvas with soft white daisies and gentle pink blossoms scattered across deep green leaves, just as I remember them. Every brushstroke carries a piece of those carefree afternoons — the laughter, the sunlight, and the magic of discovering small treasures in nature.

For me, this work is more than just flowers on a canvas; it’s a little piece of my past, a reminder of the simple moments that stay with us forever.

Perfect for those who cherish nature, nostalgia, and a touch of whimsy, this artwork will bring warmth and serenity to any space.
